Traditionally served to celebrate the Epiphany, Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester will feature the ‘Galette des Rois’ (translated as Kings’ cake) an elegant puff pastry and almond cake on the Lunch Hour Menu from the 11th to the 13th of January 2017. Once a year, Head Pastry Chef Angelo Ercolano bakes this delightful puff pastry and almond cake in the purest French tradition and serves the 'Galette des Rois' with a delicious prune chutney.
Over the three days of celebration, guests will have the chance to uncover a lucky charm which has been baked into each cake. The lucky guest who finds the charm – the King or Queen of the day – will win a set of 2 small ceramic Cookpots, the signature dish of Alain Ducasse. Book for lunch and try your luck.
