Launch of The Refettorio Felix for London Food Month

On the 6th June, Alain Ducasse and our Executive Chef Jean-Philippe Blondet, along with Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée’s Executive Chef Romain Meder, were invited to take part in chef Massimo Bottura’s Refettorio Felix, a community kitchen created in collaboration with The Felix Project, a London-based food waste charity.

With venue renovations completed in time for London Food Month, this vibrant community hub welcomes throughout June over 30 chefs, and provide lunch from Monday to Friday for homeless and those in socially vulnerable conditions, aiming to serve more than 2,000 meals using five tonnes of surplus food.

Following the month-long event, Refettorio Felix will continue to support the local community and carry on to raise awareness on food waste and promote healthy and sustainable eating habits.
